  • Help maintain nursery equipment, keep workspaces clean and tidy, and assist with simple repairs and general upkeep.

  • Follow all health and safety protocols, proactively report hazards, and contribute to a safe and positive work culture.

  • Participate in daily team briefings, support different nursery areas as required, and share ideas to help improve processes and outcomes.

This is a varied position that would suit someone who enjoys rolling up their sleeves, solving problems, and keeping things running smoothly. If you have a can-do attitude, we'd love to hear from you.

No two days are quite the same. One day you might be repairing irrigation lines, fixing a pump, or maintaining nursery infrastructure. The next, you could be helping with general repairs, grounds maintenance, machinery upkeep, or tackling one of the many jobs that come with running a busy nursery.

From irrigation systems and pumps to tractors, trailers and nursery infrastructure, you'll help keep the wheels turning across all areas of the operation.

We're looking for someone who takes pride in a job well done, can work independently, and enjoys being part of a team.

What You'll Be Doing:

• Repairing and maintaining irrigation systems, water lines, pumps and fittings.
• General handyman and maintenance work around the nursery.
• Assisting with repairs to infrastructure, buildings, fences and equipment.
• Carrying out routine maintenance on nursery machinery and vehicles including tractors, golf carts, trailers, sprayers and other equipment.
• Supporting the wider team with practical projects and seasonal tasks as required.
• Identifying issues before they become problems and taking a proactive approach to maintenance.
• Coordinating servicing and repairs where specialist support is required.

What We're Looking For:

• Strong practical and problem-solving skills.
• Experience with water systems, pumps, pipes, irrigation, or general farm, agricultural or horticultural maintenance would be highly regarded.
• Mechanical aptitude and confidence carrying out basic maintenance and repairs on machinery and equipment.
• Welding and fabrication experience would be an advantage.
• Confidence using tools and carrying out repairs safely.
• A reliable, self-motivated approach and good work ethic.
• The ability to work independently and manage a varied workload.
• A positive attitude and willingness to pitch in wherever needed.

Why Join Us?

At Growing Spectrum, we're passionate about growing quality plants and supporting a great team culture. You'll enjoy flexible part-time hours, varied and rewarding work, and the opportunity to put your practical skills to good use in a friendly, down-to-earth environment.

You'll be joining a supportive team where no two days are the same, and where practical skills, initiative and a willingness to get stuck in are genuinely valued.
